COMMERCIAL SPACE
With living plants an arm’s reach away, 34,000sqft of net lettable commercial space, and access to a winter garden meeting room, you and your employees can work in a space with reduced stress.
With 1 in 6 workers experiencing poor mental health (Mind Charity), a greater focus on wellbeing is needed in the workplace.
Our contribution to this is designing a space that recognises the impact being around nature can have on us.
The Global Impact of Biophilic Design in the Workplace report by Human Spaces @interface, highlights that working in a space that incorporates nature can increase wellbeing by 15%.
The ‘No One left Behind’ report by Public Health Wales illustrates that societal changes such as the increase in single person households and working from home is leading to loneliness, and therefore a decrease in health and wellbeing, highlighting the importance of creating spaces that focus on community and collaboration, and designing for the mind.
Occupiers will have the opportunity to become part of a Community Interest Company, deciding how they manage the extensive rooftop gardens and glasshouses in the building, what crops to grow, what to sell and what to donate, helping to build a greater sense of purpose and community.
A similar effect is hoped to be achieved through the mixed-use of the building, with the retail, exhibition and education spaces increasing movement outside of business hours, and The Kingsway Yard creating a new piece of high quality public space to bring people together.
