Crest Carpentry

December 2024 Contractor of the Month

Jay and his team at Crest Carpentry have been a great asset to the project, from completing the Metsawood Finne Frame Joists @Paragon through to installing roughly 3000m2 of acoustic flooring, they’ve been excellent.

About Crest Carpentry

"I started Crest two years ago with structural carpentry being the main aspect of my work, from timber frame buildings to trussed roofs and joists, working all around South Wales.

I came to the Biophilic Living project December last year, to fit all the infill joist work on level 4 along with all the firrings, gutters and OSB coverings to form the flat roofs, same on level 6 and 7. From there we moved onto laying all the acoustic flooring throughout the flats in the tower.

It's been great to be part of such a unique building and work alongside Helix and all the sub-contractors that are getting this building done. It's also been amazing to watch the building evolve from a bare structure to the finishing product it's getting too. Great experience for me and my team to be a part of!"

It is clear that quality and safety come first for Jay, pulling out all the stops to ensure deadlines are met, whilst still maintaining high standards.
We look forward to working with Jay and his team in the future, and thanks for your help on the build!

- Lee Wrightson, Project Manager

A special mention should also go to Paragon Engineered Timber Ltd, who supplied and designed the joists for Jay to install. Ian has been faultless and helped to no end throughout the process, with a quick turnaround of the joists on days, which really helped our programme.
